Government Information
The Town of Pecos City government is a council-mayor-city manager form of city government. It is comprised of five council members and the mayor. Council members elect from their number a Mayor Pro-Tem.
The Town of Pecos City is a Home Rule city, which means the Council can enact legislation, adopt budgets, determine policies, and appoint the City Manager, City Secretary, Chief of Police, and Municipal Court Judge.
Council Meetings
Council meetings are held on the second and fourth Thursday of each month at 5:30 pm in the City Hall Council Chambers. Additional Council meetings may be held if required, and all council agendas are posted 72 hours in advance. Special Meetings are occasionally held to provide public notification of the outcome of elections, appointments, and public announcements.
Public Involvement
Meetings are open to the public, and everyone is welcome and encouraged to attend.

City Staff, Administration, and City Council members abide by the Ethics Policy established by City Policy.
