Citizens Police Academy

The Citizens Police Academy is a course designed to give community members a working knowledge of their police department. The course introduces citizens to the various divisions of the Pecos Police Department, including how officers are trained in criminal law, criminal procedures, criminal investigations, jail procedures, firearms, and narcotic enforcement.

Students meet once a week, and after the course, a graduation ceremony is held, complete with dinner and awards.
