Code Enforcement

It is our mission to improve the quality of life for all citizens through fair and equitable enforcement of city ordinance, state law, and adopted building code.

Finance

The Finance Department is responsible for the administration and preparation of the annually adopted Budget; This department processes issues purchases orders, requisition requests, issues checks, and ensures receipt of merchandise. Finance is also responsible for the city's financial records and audit compliance.

Fire Marshal

The Fire Marshal's Office is responsible for the protection of life and property through code enforcement, plans review, electrical inspections, fire inspections, and fire cause determination.

Landfill

The Town of Pecos City Landfill is an approved landfill by the Texas Commission on Environmental Quality (TCEQ) as an Arid Exempt Landfill. In addition to the solid waste collection, the landfill provides leasing of 30 cubic yard Roll-off containers for commercial and residential customers.

Communications and Public Affairs 

The Marketing and Communications Department has the crucial responsibility of communicating all public information from the City to the citizens of Pecos. This department manages the City's website, social media accounts, marketing materials, and City events, ensuring that the information is effectively communicated to the public.

Municipal Court

The Town of Pecos City Municipal Court is responsible for the adjudication of Class C Misdemeanors and other state and city ordinance violations punishable by fine only. The Court conducts hearings and trials, collects fines, and issues arrest and search warrants. As well as juvenile citations issued by City Police Officers.

Permits

A building permit serves as certification that the provisions of all applicable city ordinances, city codes, and other requirements shall be met as per review of the building plans as well as on-site inspections.

Police

The Pecos Police Department is a dynamic organization that projects values of honesty, integrity, and service to the citizens of Pecos. The Police Department recognizes the importance of involving the community to assist in fighting crime and increasing the quality of police services.

Public Works

Public Works provides the highest quality and professional service to the citizens of Pecos, in compliance with State and Federal regulations. Construct, operate, and maintain the City's infrastructure (water and sewer system, wastewater treatment plant, water well fields, streets, and alleys), in order to plan, develop, and schedule projects to meet the short and long-term needs of our city.
