Clay D. McKinney
Clay D. McKinney was appointed as Chief of Police on January 9, 1998. He began his law enforcement career in 1985.
Chief McKinney holds an Associate Degree in Applied Science in Law Enforcement from Odessa College, a Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of Texas of the Permian Basin, and a Masters Certification from the Texas Commission on Law Enforcement Standards and Education.
He is responsible for the management and operation of the Pecos Police Department and the Criminal Justice Center. Chief McKinney believes his greatest assets are the people he works with at the Department.
