FOR EMERGENCIES DIAL 911 IMMEDIATELY
Is your Pet missing? Other non-emergency? Be sure to contact Animal Control at 432-445-4911.
Providing your pet with a proper shelter from all elements in the form of a dog house or homemade shelter is required by the State of Texas and the Town of Pecos City.
The shelter is required to have three sides and a roof. The hot weather promotes hot water, so please, be sure to place your pets water bowl in a shaded area.
YOUR PETS MUST HAVE ACCESS TO WATER AT ALL TIMES.
Leaving your dog outside without proper shelter and access to water is considered a form of animal abuse. The extreme heat in our area can result in heatstroke for your animals.
Your pets rely on you to provide care and love. In return they will provide you with loyalty, comfort and joy.
State Law requires current rabies vaccination tag to be attached to your pets collar at all times. Rabies shots are only available through a Licensed Veterinarian.
All pets within the city limits are required to have attached to their collar a city license and rabies vaccination tag. Failure to do so is a class c misdemeanor and can result in a citation and / or fine.
Annual city pet license tags are available at the Pecos Animal Control Facility. City License tag is $5.00 per tag and are non-transferable.
Thank you Pecos for your continued support of the Pecos Animal Control Facility!
